We strive to spread the message here at Occupy Wall Street across New York City and beyond. We commonly chant that “we are the 99%,” and thus we seek to build a movement that is reflective of this statement. Our movement will be successful to the degree that we are able to reach out to and organize the diverse population that is New York. Therefore, we seek to mobilize teams of volunteers and organizers to make face-to-face connections across the city. We are here to offer support, training, material resources, and information, so that all are empowered to spread this democratic uprising. We envision a world where local communities organize democratically to address local problems; we are acting to make this a reality.
Outreach meetings happen on Saturdays and Mondays at 7pm in the atrium at 60 Wall St. Please come and join in. And remember that each and every one of us is on the outreach team: we are all encouraged to act autonomously! Find your creative spirit and spread this democratic uprising and upsurge in human potential to all you know. Let us know how we can help.

People have been occupying Union Sq since March 20 (over a month now)… on average… 0 people are currently doing outreach in the park. Outreach 1 month, 1 week agoOne simple rule of thumb: Carbs = safe… you can generally just break off the fuzzy part if there is a fuzzy part. Veggies = can kill you. Be really, really careful about out of date fruits and veggies.

Matt, If I were not home bound, I’d be with you on the street. Outreach is critical, now more than ever. OWS has to grow. To grow, you have to get people currently not involved, involved. That is done by outreach. The key to OWS success is in the numbers.
Good job sticking a clipboard in my hand and walking away yesterday bro. LOL!
I’m gonna bring it back, don’t worry. Sometime today, not sure when I can squeeze it in though.
