Occupy Wall Street is a space for open discussion, collaboration, support, and solidarity. The Empowerment and Education Committee is inviting academics, communities, organizations and individuals struggling against the current injustices to make their voices heard and join the Occupy Wall Street movement. Through the Empowerment and Education Committee, a part of New York City General Assembly, community organizers, unions, minorities, immigrants, workers, students and academics, will be invited to give talks and lead discussions.
In addition to talks, we have think-tanks, study groups, free university initiatives, and various other efforts to develop strategies for the movement and alternative models against a system so many are rising up against. The movement is in a critical state and needs your creativity, knowledge, and collaboration. Join us!

MEETING TIMES: Our committee meetings are open and held once a week. Saturdays, 2:00pm @ 66 5th Ave, 8th Floor Conference Room.

-OPEN FORUM SUBCOMMITTEE: The Open Forum is a discussion event at Liberty Square in which a volunteer presenter/lecturer gives out a brief presentation that is relevant to the protest followed by an open discussion.
