ALTERNATIVE BANKING
Purpose: to explore and, if possible, establish alternative banking systems, that might replace the current system. A very practical, outcome-oriented group.  I am particularly interested in hearing from those with skills and experience in banking and finance    discussion will be online in the first instance, in person meetings also possible.

CHILDCARE  
Childcare working group will assist parents interested in joining working groups or the General Assembly. The two main issues are location and legal. We need to talk to legal to find a safe place and a way to take care of the kids!

COACHING

COMPASSIONATE COMMUNICATION / EMPATHY
Pool of mediators & trained communicators available to any working group for mediation, supporting harmonious meetings. Empathy supports people to regain clarity when they are feeling upset.

DEMANDS GROUP (there is controversy re this group’s legitimacy as per GA)
The purpose of this Working Group is to debate and organize the 99% Declaration. This Declaration is NOT representative of OWS or the NYC GA. FINANCE REPORTING THROUGH CORRUPTION REPORTING
The purpose of the working group is to articulate through Factual research. Financial corruption on the part of wall street and the financial firms that are supported by those banks. Reporting will include the collapse of viable U.S. Companies because of Wall Street Greed. Example: Simmons Corporation. Human Rights infringements are the very essence of the Occupy Wall Street Movement! Our working group will seek to eventually influence all policies that affect intrinsic Human Rights entitlements. LEGAL
The main priorities of the Activist Legal Team of Occupy Wall Street are to keep people out of jail, support those who do get arrested, and ensure that arrestees have the best legal support possible. Also central to our efforts, we want to make sure that activists are the ones who decide and define what their legal case looks like–basing it in politics first–whenever desired.

MUTUAL RESPONSIBILITY
We want to apply the principle of mutual responsibility as a foundation for achieving social justice. This can be done through creating a responsible media and education system, which promotes interdependence as a way to guarantee everybody’s livelihood. We’re developing a practical step-by-step method of building a unified, conscious society. We need YOUR input, please JOIN us!    We always sit on the south side in front of the food carts. Thieves working group is a for profit working group. We move shit fast. We take advantage of the absent-mindedness of the people occupying Zuccotti Park.
Located: In the park, in different parks, pawn shops. Everywhere where there are things to obtain. We need a table, a lockbox to collect the percentage of profit generated by T.W.G., AND a plastic bin for “Found” objects or objects not desired anymore by current or former T.W.G. members.
