Don’t forget about Brown Bag Lunch at the corner of wall and broadway Tuesdays and Thursday from 12:45 to 2pm

This is truly superb. A hundred bravos to the people who compiled it.

Seems as there must have been a “scam” of sorts with the donated funds?! Massive amounts of momentum was gained as well as funding for this “movement”. Now, the people that collected and reported the earnings on this very site have replaced that information with a list of resources that could be easily equated to a resource list for the homeless?! Does this strike anybody else as extremely odd and unfortunate. Please explain, if not whoever is responsible for this should be prosecuted with the rest of the greedy minions of Wall Street!

This page didn’t replace anything. It sounds like you are talking about the how to help page: http://www.nycga.net/how-to-help/

This is a completely volunteer organization. There are people (like me) who have quit their jobs and work all day long to try and keep this thing going. In two months I wont be able to afford rent, food, or anything else. Quit ragging on us and making baseless accusations. If you don’t like how something works that figure out how you can help.

In other words, GET IT TOGETHER. People will be reluctant to support the same old B.S. that has been done so many times before. DON’T make it more complicated than it needs to be! People are making an honest effort to collaborate and peacefully protest. They’ve dedicated their time every day. That must be recognized and honored if this is going to survive…

  5. Megan

By recognize and honor, I mean making it possible for us to thrive and accomplish the goal, not just fizzle out and be the victim of our own B.S. If this doesn’t happen it will be an epic and unfortunate failure. What a shame, no wonder we have so many difficulties…!?

On the other hand I hope that the free riders are weeded out. They will strain an already fragile system. This is why education is paramount, for those involved and those spectating.

I am hoping the Occupy Wall Street Timebank experiment can match OWS Working Group Members with new housing opportunities. Orientation and training for the site to come soon.

I hope SIS will offer resources for that effort.

  8. Jill Turner

Meagan, I agree that we shouldn’t be sending OWS working group people to use homeless resources when we have resources for those people. I hope we can create more OWS jobs and workers soon.

Word search for the words gluten raw returned nothing on this page among the comments or the helpful info. 800 ways to acquire government cheese.

I got something that can change the world! Let’s get every single occupy behind the idea that food stamps get to be worth double if used at farmers markets of local farmers. Fubu Food.

#67, Gods Love We Deliver, is a food delivery service for sick people only, I’m not sure why its on this list. If you volunteer there, you do generally have access to free coffee and rolls, but its not a given.

also, there are intenional communities always looking for new members all over the world. go to http://www.ic.org and look on communities forming or members sought section and rescources section for info and angels to help form your own ic.

needn’t reinvent the wheel though as many ic’s have too much land and not enough people to do constructive things on it.

oh, btw, i do/have hosted occupiers in the projects.

only people i know very well. and very rarely and for a very short period of time…to regenerate.

    stay festive everyone!

please bring rolling tobacco to union square and clean socks and share liberally! and stay hydrated! water, bananas, orange. thanks.
