A sequence of educational encounters that address several issues related to Hurricane Sandy. Each encounter will feature a presentation followed by horizontal discussion. We hope to provide a space for people to collectively reflect on the politics of climate disaster in New York City.

How are individuals affected financially, emotionally or otherwise by climate change? Emphasis will be on the specific communities in New York City impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

What can communities do to address both the immediate threats and consequences of climate change as well as the systemic injustices that disasters like Sandy uncover
