This discussion and decolonization training will explore the African and Indigenous presence on Wall Street and Early New York City as well as how African slavery helped to develop the early and subsequent economy that developed capitalism and imperialism as we know it, manifested through the ‘too big to fail’ banks and corporations of the 1% that gave birth to Occupy Wall Street.

This event immediate follows the Labor Outreach Committee of Occupy Wall Street’s Working Group at 6:30pm and we also encourage people to attend that meeting as well in preparation for May Day 2013
