May 18th, 2014. Please join us to welcome Sumumba Sobukwe. He is a member of four OWS working groups and works on building networks between the many ‘OCCUPY’s’ around the city, while making sure people of color and other marginalized people’s are part of this movement. After losing his job and a room, he learned first hand how the bank fees and overdraft changes effected him. He had to close both of his bank accounts, leaving him to rely on public assistance and food stamps to survive.
“It is very meaningful work for me and a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to make a change not only to better my individual condition but that of the entire world”. Sumumba Sobukwe
