With Earth Day on the way, the Park Slope
Greens and the Brooklyn Society for Ethical
Culture invite you to a late Sunday afternoon
dedicated to the pursuit of a more
democratic New York.

The event will begin with a screening of
“It’s Time We Talked”, a wry and intense 53
minute road trip across direct democracy’s
history and potential in America.

After the screening there will be an
action-oriented presentation on lowercase d’s
exciting charter campaign for modern day citizen
lawmaking in NYC, followed by a panel on
the use of ballot initiatives to advance
environmental sustainability.

Finally we’ll break into discussion groups to
identify and refine attendees legislative ideas
and paths towards their realization.

Free and open to the public!  The perfect follow-up to a picnic in the park.
