Join Occupy Wall Street, 99 Pickets, and allies to plan “Wall Street to Walmart”, an OWS-wide series of actions starting on Thanksgiving and culminating on Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year.
In the wake of a series of unprecedented Walmart retail and warehouse strikes, Walmart workers, labor allies and community supporters have put Walmart on notice for Black Friday: Either end the retaliation attempts to silence workers, or face direct action, complete with a possible nationwide strike.
In solidarity with these courageous workers, Occupy Wall Street, 99 Pickets and community allies are planning fun, creative actions both inside and outside a Walmart store, with the aim of significantly disrupting business and educating consumers about Walmart’s odious labor practices.
If you can’t make it the planning meeting, sign up here to participate on Black Friday. We’re mobilizing large numbers of people, and are working to get buses to transport people coming from NYC. We need your contact information so we can follow up with you.
