The Village Halloween Parade is being cancelled (or rescheduled) for the first time in its 39 year history but Halloween is still the 31st — And downtown Manhattan is dark and spooky!

Thus, we suggest that all who care to maintain this NYC tradition – gather at the Halloween Parade’s usual start point for a night where we will turn back the clock to the early days, before it moved to 6th Avenue – and parade through the Village streets bringing joy, light and treats to those we meet.

Wear costumes, *especially anything the lights up*, comfortable footwear and whatever refreshments you fancy- the stores are mostly closed and we encourage all to bring extra treats, lights, instruments and anything that might be helpful to the underpowered downtown residents. Trick, Treats and Aid!

And NOTE: Cell phones aren’t working in that area so if you are late you may miss us…

Supporting NYC

Downtown is hurting and the plan is to bring joy and not trouble. Respect the police, don’t get into traffic or do anything stupid. The Mayor has encouraged everyone to celebrate Halloween as we might but to be extra careful in the areas without power. We will with your help!

The Plan

To be decided… Where shall we go?
