Last Sunday, two supporters of the worker-led Golden Farm campaign were arrested outside the store, after taking shelter under the store’s awning.

The arrests follow a recent incident where manager Steve Kim deliberately dumped undiluted bleach all over protesters’ belongings and directly on an NYCC organizer. Her crime? Writing in chalk on the sidewalk.

Workers at the store have organized for a return of $500,000+ in stolen wages, paid sick days, and a voice in their workplace. Since August, they’ve asked the Kensington community to boycott the store until the owner signs a fair contract with the workers and business is down 30%.

It’s more important than ever that we stand up to Golden Farm owner Sonny Kim and let him know that we will not tolerate his attempts to INTIMIDATE, ABUSE, and RETALIATE against Golden Farm workers, and now community supporters, who are simply asking for a fair contract, restoration of cut hours and reinstatement of workers that were fired for organizing.

99 Pickets and the Occupy community is turning out in force to the picket line this Sunday, 1-3pm to send the message that RETALIATION WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. No contract, no peace! No sick days, no peace! No fair wages, no peace!

Bring chalk, whistles, casseroles, pots, pans, cowbells, and sleigh bells.

Transit: F/G train to Church Ave. in Brooklyn.
