When Walmart workers came together and went on strike to protest for better working conditions, Walmart illegally retaliated by firing 70 workers. Now, workers are giving Walmart until Labor Day to give them their jobs back — and if Walmart doesn’t, workers are going to intensify their actions.

On Thursday, as mass demonstrations in solidarity with #WalmartStrikers sweep the nation, a group of fired Walmart workers are coming to NYC to demand a meeting with Walmart Director Christopher Williams — and they’re counting on our solidarity.

Together, we’ll call on Williams to use his seat on the Board of Directors to give the workers their jobs back and put an end to Walmart’s attacks on workers.

Last month, we rallied outside Williams’ home and spoke to his neighbors and colleagues, but he didn’t respond. This time workers will not be ignored. They’re demanding a meeting with Williams, and if he doesn’t agree, they’re putting it all on the line and risking arrest to get his attention. They deserve our solidarity: please join us and spread the word!
