Motions:

1.That the New York General Assembly (NYCGA) and the Occupy Wall St Labor Outreach Committee (OWS-LOC) endorses and will mobilize for the largest possible turnout at the December 28th contract demonstration of Service Employees International Union 32BJ, and at 32BJ picket lines in the event of a strike.

2. That the NYCGA and the OWS-LOC send the following letter to SEIU Local 32 BJ President Fishman:

December 16, 2011

President Mike Fishman
SEIU Local 32BJ
25 West 18th St
New York, NY 10011-1991

Dear President Fishman,

When Occupy Wall Street’s encampment at Zuccoti Park was threatened with ouster by Mayor Bloomberg and the police, organized labor sent out an emergency call to it’s members to rush downtown in our defense. Thousands of union members responded, forcing the police to back off.

We the New York City General Assembly and the Labor Outreach Committee of Occupy Wall St think it’s time to say thanks.

With a view to supporting 32BJ’s current campaign for a decent contract against the Realty Advisory Board’s demands for wage and benefit cuts, we pledge to call on OWS supporters to rally to your union’s side. Should 32BJ be forced to strike, we pledge to be ready to join it’s picket lines in support of it’s just demands.

In Solidarity,

New York City General Assembly

and

Labor Outreach Committee of Occupy Wall St
