SUMMARY

- Working Group Report Backs

*Strong Women Rules WG: Don’t slander online.

*Comfort WG: Looking for a NY residence, need help. Also, need clean clothes.

*Media: Have noticed a decline in participation at actions, come out and participate!

 

- Proposals

*Occupy Oakland proposal: $20,000 to help defray costs of Port Shutdown action, receipts are available and money will go to other West Coast Occupies who participated too. Friendly Amendments accepted by proposer: Add $5,000 to cover bail, food and travel costs; put receipts online. RESULT: CONSENSUS

*Accounting proposal: Move $100,000 from NYCGA general fund to a separate bail fund. Friendly Amendments accepted by proposer: Use bail funds for mandatory court costs and related fees; subtract $0.01 from total amount (now $99,999.99). RESULT: MODIFIED CONSENSUS

*Legal proposal: OWS shall endorse Adam Levine to represent them for the lawsuit filed on the morning of the eviction raid. RESULT: CONSENSUS

*Individual proposal: Quorom of 100 for GA proposals to pass. RESULT: TABLED

*Occupy Dartmouth proposal: OWS approve one tent for Occupy Dartmouth. RESULT: CONSENSUS

*Individual proposal: Federal government shall spend as much on medical research as is spent on military research. RESULT: NOT PASSED

 

- Announcements

*Livestream: Thoren is not a part of OWS Media WG.

*OccupyDC: January 17-21, come OccupyCongress! Many free tickets available via Megabus. Come!

*Lightsource: Working on a plan to occupy the new year’s even ball drop. Need help and participation!

*Camille: Playing a great board game called “Revolution” tomorrow at 60 Wall from 1-4pm. Come play and help beta-test it! Also, informal conversation about opposing NDAA tomorrow at 60 Wall at 5pm, then again on Sunday.

*Think Tank: Meeting at Staten Island ferry, Manhattan side, tomorrow.
