- Working Group Report Backs

*OccupyNewark: Having some  troubles with disruptive people; warns they may come to OWS to ask for money, claiming to be OccupyNewark.

*Medics: Scheduling issues; 4-5 medics trained in winter urban survival and can train others.

*Accounting (formerly Finance): Daily donation logs being posted (link to come); all accounting info will soon be online.

*Sanitation: Going to start cleaning storage space and office.

*OccupyDignity: Christmas organization, need help from other WGs; dealing with some suicide attempts, the need help with counseling.

*OccupyBoston: Boston police took Boston occupation’s sink and put it in a police wagon.

*OccupyMaine: 2-month anniversary; want people to come join them in their geodesic dome.

*Legal: Collecting stories of damaged stuff for a lawsuit.

*Housing: Open Space techniques workshop tomorrow at 11am at 310 W 43rd St, SEIU 1199; three locations for sleeping: West 86th St for all of December, sleeps 65-70; Yonkers sleeps 25; Brooklyn houses sleep 30; for more info, call ComHub (917-524-8732) or visit Housing Sign-Up at 60 Wall St.

*Volunteer Services: Meeting Sunday at 1pm at 60 Wall St.

*Stop Stop and Frisk: Finished fourth march; need jail support for arrested folks from previous marches.

*Info & ComHub (now merged): Meeting Monday at 60 Wall St, 2pm.

*Security/De-Escalation: Focusing on protest actions.

*PoCC: Take back a garden, location is 147th St and Southern Blvd in the Bronx.

*Facilitation: Working on SC proposal, will bring it back on Monday; no meeting tomorrow, they’re going to 310 W 43rd St for a Housing meeting.

*Sustainability: Sunday event, 9th St and Ave C at 2pm, Food Justice group bringing farmers!

*Wellness: Silent solidarity march from Foley to Zuccotti tomorrow at 6pm; Tuesday, Dec 6th, 8:30pm event at 302 Bowery.

*Safer Spaces: Supporting at various housing spaces; need volunteers.

*Outreach: Party tomorrow at Zuccotti at 10am; new OWS journal “Tidal” debut.

*OccupyYouth: First meeting yesterday; planning two outreach events; need volunteers.

*OccupyFarms: Meetings at 5pm on Sundays at 60 Wall St; planning recon trip to farms either Mon or Wed.

*Organized Labor: AFL-CIO says there’s a FM radio signal in the park.

*Direct Action: OccupyBroadway going well; Dec 6th, moving a family back into their foreclosed home; Monday night New Gingrich in town, going to disrupt.

*Strong Women Rules: Working on a big building to occupy.

*-ism Caucus: Attended Puerto Rican “no pipeline” action.

*Tech: Working to trim groups on nycga.net; groups must meet a minimum activity level to stay on site; training at PACE on Dec 10.

*PoCC: Cancel Spokes Council on Dec 14 so everyone can attend Racial Justic workshop by Applied Research Center. RESULT: CONSENSUS

*Facilitation: Pay hosts at 56 Walke for the six Spokes Councils held there. RESULT: WITHDRAWN

*Housing: Money request for thirty days for housing. RESULT: WITHDRAWN
