$560 for $40/day @ 14 day for security /guardianship on-site personnel from the Church of St. Paul St. Andrew on 86th that facilitates our use of that space for housing occupiers.

Safe, secure, reliable housing is very important. Some questions:
Are we paying for Church of St. Paul St. Andrew security?
Are we paying our security to watch the church?
Are we paying for transport?
If not, what are we using the funding for?

this security company (ANDREWS) is the Vendor guarding the 911 Memorial. They hired 100 former police to guard the 911 Memorial. 300 people asked (Andrews) for work/jobs. Only former cops were given a chance to work. Thats called employment discrimination. I know i was called into Andrews for an interview. My file was shit canned. Please dont use that company. Dont make a mockery of this movement.

The way the homeless people responded to this proposal at yesterday’s GA, by disrupting the GA, shows why the churches would want security.
I personally would not fall asleep in the presence of the belligerent, intoxicated and mentally ill people who disrupted last night’s GA and I am amazed that any facility other than a psychiatric unit is housing them; good luck to these churches. It’s only a matter of time before an incident occurs.

Please do not generalize all OWS homeless folks and help spread the strong negative attitude that OWS has towards homeless people. That is very descriminatory. There are many non-intoxicated, non-mentally ill homeless OWS folks who need support and services.
Many organizers seem to treat the homeless OWS as a nusiance. I find more organizers to be more problematic than most homeless OWS folks.
